About Us

Our mission is making disciples of Jesus Christ in community, for our community.

Our heart and passion is to care for the people of the Coastal Strip of Mount Maunganui and Papamoa and to see them become disciples of Jesus Christ.

But our mission is global.  God calls us to serve him beyond our ‘home’.

Our church consists of two different congregations reflecting a more traditional style of worship (9:00am) followed by a more family and contemporary style (10:30am).

The Coastal Strip of the Mount and Papamoa is one of the fastest growing regions in New Zealand.  We have to have a big vision.  This region of New Zealand is expected to grow from 30,000 now to about 90,000 in just over 40 years.  A geographical feature of our strip is that it is about 26 km long, but only about 2 km wide.

Mount Maunganui is one of New Zealand’s leading holiday spots.  People come here for rest and refreshment – spiritual as well as physical.  Our church is a place of renewal and restoration.

We hope that by becoming part of one of our congregations – whether as a local resident or a visitor – you will find the love of God, and experience his goodness and grace, his forgiveness and freedom, his hope and grace.  Welcome.  Welcome from all at St Andrews.

Please join us whether you are a local resident, or when you visit our town.

Yesterday we were privileged to hear from Kalpana as she shared about the transformative nature of The Lydia Training Centre in Kathmandu, Nepal. It empowers women through a five-month education programme that trains women to be entrepreneurs and leaders in their families and communities. It also provides Bible classes and musical instrument training so that they can help lead worship in church. Such an amazing organisation! To learn more visit International Needs’ website or come to their concert at Bethlehem College this Monday at 6pm (tickets are $15.00). ... See MoreSee Less
